Your privacy is important to us. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide to us when visiting, logging into, registering, or opening an account with www.heritage.org or any other Website owned or operated by The Heritage Foundation (our “Websites”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information. This policy applies to information we collect on our Websites and the Heritage Insights Panel (heritageinsightspanel.com). It does not apply to information that we collect offline or through any other means, including from any third party (including through any application or content that may link to or be accessible from our Websites), except as described below. Information We Collect and How We Collect It
We collect several types of information from and about users of our Websites. We collect IP addresses and how visitors use, access and/or navigate throughout our Websites, including how you accessed our Websites. Children Under the Age of 13
Our Websites are not intended for children under the age of 13 and no one under the age of 13 should use our Websites or provide any personal information to us. In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal or identifying information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, do not use our Websites or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, screen or user name, or anything else. If we learn that we inadvertently collected personal or identifying information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information. Residents of certain states under the ages of 13, 16, or 18 may have additional rights regarding the collection and sale of their personal or identifying information. Mailing List and Opt-out Information
From time to time, we make our contributor list of both offline and online donors available to other organizations to mail. This process is carefully controlled, and it is our hope that you may find information from these groups interesting and helpful. This also saves us a considerable amount of money, which can be used to preserve and protect our shared values. If you would like to be excluded from this, please email us at [email protected], and we’ll make sure your name is not included in our mailing list sharing activities. The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. This limitation does not prevent use of personal information as described above that is obtained other than exclusively from our offline or online donor list(s).

If you do not want to receive any email from us in the future, click the “unsubscribe” reference in any email we send you. You may also email i[email protected] to complete the opt-out process or send a letter to our mailing address requesting that we unsubscribe you from our contact lists. Note that absent a specific request, your records will remain in our database, but your log-in and email address will be deactivated.

Links to Other Websites
Our Websites may contain links to other websites. Any information you provide on the linked pages or to third parties may be provided directly to that third party and can be subject to that third party’s privacy policy whether or not related to or covered by this privacy policy. This privacy policy does not apply to such linked sites, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of those websites or any other sites that are linked to or from our Websites.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to make changes to this policy at any time. The date the policy was last revised is identified at the top of this policy. If we make a material change to our policy, we will post a notice along with the revised privacy policy on our Websites. Your continued use of our Websites after we post the revised policy signifies your acceptance of any revised privacy policy.
