The appropriations process is the most effective way for Congress to use its oversight authority over spending to rein in the woke and weaponized bureaucracy championed by the Biden Administration. The appropriations bills introduced for fiscal year 2024 so far are a start—but unless Congress insists that these provisions in these bills are enacted, they will fail to stop the lawlessness of the Biden Administration, and it will only continue and get worse. Congress should use the FY 24 Appropriations process to rein in the woke agenda.
