The Heritage Foundation’s Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy has announced that Klon Kitchen, former national security advisor to Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE), has joined the think tank to lead policy and research efforts focused on cyber, science and technology, and their advancing roles in all areas of public policy, including national security, infrastructure and global economics.
Dr. James Carafano, vice president of the Davis Institute, released the following statement announcing the move:
"Perhaps more so than with any other discipline, conservatives have largely stayed silent when it comes to what principles should govern the use of technology, and what policies should stem from those principles. Kitchen, who also has two decades of experience in the intelligence world, including several years at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), will look to advance this conversation, and we are excited to have him join the team.”
