Earlier this month, President Joe Biden announced his new “vaccine mandate,” which directs the federal government to require all organizations—including private businesses—with 100 employees or more to either test their employees for COVID-19 weekly or ensure they are vaccinated. 

“It’s not about freedom or personal choice,” Biden said. “We’re going to protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated co-workers.” As states and employers plan legal challenges to the mandate, the courts will ultimately decide whether the federal government has the legal authority to enforce these mandates. 

In an economy struggling to recover, we should be eliminating barriers to employment and working to ease labor shortages. We must reject coercion and government mandates and promote peaceful persuasion and personal choice. Your voice and values can make a difference!
