Newsmax recently released a new documentary, “Socialism in America," featuring an exclusive interview with James Carafano, vice president of Heritage’s Davis Institute and E.W. Richardson fellow.  
 
Newsmax commissioned the film to raise awareness of the alarming rise of socialism and communism in America, according to a press release announcing the documentary.  

“Socialism is as great a threat to humanity as any plague,” Carafano said. “Waking up to this danger is crucial to preserving the freedom, prosperity and security of all Americans.” 
 

“Socialism in America” also includes interviews with retired U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Jessie Jane Duff, former Soviet Union citizen Vladimir Jaffe, former China citizen Helen Raleigh, former Cuba citizen Orestes R. Betancourt Ponce De Leon, and former Venezuela citizen Andres Guilarte. 
 
Newsmax completed the film with Fox Tail Productions. Award-winning filmmaker Jack Thomas Smith and Mandy Del Rio directed “Socialism in America.”
