WASHINGTON—Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts joined multiple shows on Fox News and Fox Business this week to discuss some of the most pressing policy issues facing Americans today—Biden’s border catastrophe, historic inflation, and the fight to empower parents when it comes to their children’s education.
Roberts joined Todd Piro and Carley Shimkus on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends First” Wednesday to provide some much-needed clarity about the Biden border crisis and explain why Heritage has stood up its new Center for Border Security and Immigration:
“[A]ll of the migrants who have come across illegally in the first year and a half of this administration will pale in comparison to what happens starting next month when Title 42 expires. … This is the problem, Carley—when you visit the border, as I have done many times, and you talk to mayors and county officials, but most of all regular Americans, you realize this surge is upending the American way of life. And this is not a Democrat or a Republican problem, or at least it shouldn’t be. The Democrats turned it into a problem. It’s really important that we understand as a people that this is changing our American way of life.”

On Fox Business’ “The Evening Edit” Monday, Roberts didn’t hold back in criticizing those objecting to Florida’s new parental rights law that empowers parents and protects kids:
“Well, I think the governor of Maryland of all people ought to read legislation before he comments on it. And that really speaks to the larger point, Liz, which is all of this fury in the media, probably, a vast majority of your colleagues criticizing this legislation haven’t read it. It really boils down to this—I was a teacher for 20 years. I’m a fifth-generation educator in my family, and I can tell you that the most important thing in education, in the classroom, for students, for their achievement, is parental involvement. I would love for the governor of Maryland, A) to read the legislation, and B) sort of explain to me how we wouldn’t want parents involved, especially with sex education regarding kindergarteners and third-graders.”
