Heritage Foundation Elects John Coleman to Board of Trustees

WASHINGTON—The Heritage Foundation today elected John Coleman as the newest member of its Board of Trustees.  

Coleman is a managing partner at Sovereign’s Capital, a values-driven private equity and venture capital firm. He previously held a variety of leadership positions at Invesco Ltd., and has worked with a number of other high-profile organizations. 

A former Heritage intern, Coleman is a frequent writer and public speaker. He is the author of three books and a regular writer on personal development and leadership issues. He is also deeply involved in his community, particularly on causes related to educational opportunity for young people. He was also awarded Heritage’s Distinguished Intern Alumni Award in 2021 for his outstanding accomplishments in the business community and his consistent work to advance conservative ideas and policies. He is currently focused on how investors can align their investments with their values, recently authoring a commentary  in The Daily Signal on the topic. 

“The Heritage Board of Trustees is an outstanding group of patriots who are passionate for this country, and they are motivated to fight for her future. The addition of my friend John Coleman to this august group will only make that fight even more successful,” said Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts. “John will bring thoughtful analysis, meaningful experience, and valuable insights to his role as a member of our board, and I look forward to his leadership in the years to come.”    
 
Barb Van Andel-Gaby, chairman of the Heritage Board of Trustees, also released a statement: 

“It is an honor and a pleasure to welcome John Coleman to the Board of Trustees. John is a man of character and consequence, who has shown throughout his career that he has integrity, determination, and love for his fellow Americans. Those qualities make him the perfect addition to our board. I know his contributions to the board will not only benefit Heritage, but also the conservative movement and our country as a whole.” 

Heritage trustee Price Harding also released the following statement:

Having served on the board for just two years, I can tell you that there is no greater honor than helping this organization continue to lead the conservative movement in fighting the policy battles that we must win in order to take back America. John has done tremendous work to combine his passion and his talents with a successful career, and I know he’s going to bring valuable perspectives about how Heritage can continue to lead as we fight for America’s future.”
