Some claim climate change is to blame for our weak grid; the truth is that it’s a direct result of poor policymaking. Without serious overhauls, dangerous—and often deadly—blackouts will become commonplace in America.

FERC Commissioner James Danly joins Heritage’s Travis Fisher to dig into the details of what we know about power grid reliability, what the impact of electricity policies will be in the near term (particularly the movements to decarbonize the grid and “electrify everything”), and what we can do to ensure grid reliability for decades to come.
