WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 28, 2018—The Heritage Foundation Board of Trustees this week approved the appointments of Thomas Binion as Vice President of Congressional and Executive Branch Relations and Andrew P. McIndoe as Vice President of Development.

James added: “Tommy is one of the most talented communicators on Capitol Hill and has led our government relations team to tremendous success. Andrew is an experienced fundraiser who is homegrown talent, having risen through ranks from Heritage intern all the way to leading the team that makes sure that Heritage has the resources we need to accomplish our mission. I am confident that Tommy and Andrew will help us scale even greater heights in their new roles.”
Binion is a Capitol Hill veteran, a student of the legislative process and passionate about conservative policy solutions. He worked in multiple capacities for Rep. Steve King, including legislative director. He came to Heritage Action for America as a legislative strategist before moving to Heritage. He has represented Heritage on Capitol Hill since 2015 and at the executive branch since 2017. Binion played an instrumental role in getting the Trump administration to embrace nearly two-thirds of Heritage’s more than 300 policy recommendations.

McIndoe has long been passionate about advancing conservative ideas by growing philanthropy and utilizing private sector best practices. He has honed his management and communication skills and grown his heart for the mission over the years with several conservative movement organizations, earning his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business along the way.
