Seasoned health policy expert Doug Badger has joined The Heritage Foundation as a Visiting Fellow.
Badger, who also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Galen Institute, has a career in public policy that spans more than three decades and includes stints as a policy adviser and legislative affairs strategist at the White House. the U.S. Senate, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Social Security Administration.
Marie Fishpaw, Heritage’s Director of Domestic Policy Studies, said Badger will provide policy leadership on key questions facing Congress and the Trump administration. “Doug has an excellent track record at helping our nation’s most senior elected officials find practical ways to help lower Americans’ health costs and expand their choices,” she said.
Galen Institute President Grace-Marie Turner added that Badger’s expertise in health policy—and many other issues—is invaluable. “He demonstrates through his leadership and hard work his commitment to policies that empower people to control their own health care and health spending decisions. I am pleased that Heritage is offering yet another venue for Doug’s work to impact the policy-making process.”
