WASHINGTON—The Heritage Foundation congratulated Steven G. Bradbury, distinguished fellow at The Heritage Foundation on his confirmation as Deputy Secretary of Transportation today.

Bradbury has been a distinguished fellow at The Heritage Foundation since 2022. In 2024, he was awarded the Drs. W Glenn and Rita Ricardo Campbell Award, which is presented to an employee who strives to build an outstanding contribution to the analysis and promotion of the Free Society. Before joining Heritage, Bradbury was general counsel for the U.S. Department of Transportation under Trump (2017-2021) and briefly served as Acting Deputy and Secretary of Transportation.
He also served as Principal Deputy and Acting Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice and was a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis and Dechert LLP. Bradbury clerked for Justice Clarence Thomas and Judge James L. Buckley, and graduated magna cum laude from Michigan Law School.
