WASHINGTON- As Congress and the White House look for solutions to fix broken American immigration policies, Heritage Foundation President Kay Coles James released the following statement:

"Nobody wants to see children put at risk illegally crossing the border. Since laws should be enforced, the solution is for Congress to address any changes the American people may want made to existing law concerning illegal entry into the US.

For the sake of all children - American and those seeking to become American - amnesty should be dealt with as the separate issue it is, and the media should accurately inform the American people about what current law provides."
