WASHINGTON – Heritage Foundation President Kay Coles James today issued the following statement on the death of Ralph Z. Hallow, chief political correspondent and columnist for The Washington Times:
“Ralph Hallow was one of the great fixtures of Washington politics, breaking and reporting some of the biggest stories of our time. He was a true gentleman who possessed a brilliant mind and a sharp wit. Being around him, one couldn’t help but smile as he so often delivered his keen political insights with a generous helping of humor. As a reporter, Ralph showed the kind of dedication to the truth and fairness to his subjects that are all too rare today.
“His death is a tremendous loss for the journalistic profession and for all of us who knew him. My prayers are with his wife, Millie, and their entire family.”
