Robby Starbuck Joins Heritage as Visiting Fellow to Lead New Capital Markets Initiative

WASHINGTON—The Heritage Foundation announced today that renowned conservative advocate Robby Starbuck, host of the Robby Starbuck Show, is joining the organization as a visiting fellow for its capital markets initiative.

Starbuck commented on his new role at Heritage:

"I am thrilled to join The Heritage Foundation to help lead the charge in pushing back against the dangerous rise of woke DEI and ESG policies that undermine American values. These harmful initiatives have no place in our businesses or institutions, and I’m committed to advancing policies that prioritize merit, free enterprise, and individual freedom over divisive ideologies. It’s time to restore common sense and accountability to the workplace, and I’m excited to continue to lead that movement from Heritage."

As a visiting fellow, Starbuck will lead the new capital markets initiative, which encourages businesses to prioritize merit and ethics over divisive agendas that are unethical, immoral, and illegal—like so-called diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. These divisive agendas threaten employees’ religious liberties, undermine innovation, and distract business from its primary functions.

Andrew Olivastro, chief advancement officer at The Heritage Foundation, commented:

“Robby Starbuck is a trailblazer for our times, and we are thrilled he is joining us at Heritage. Robby has played a leading role helping Americans find their voice and reclaim their rights as shareowners, employees, and customers. Our combined efforts will both set the agenda for the business community and save the private sector for future prosperity."

Starbuck will also lend his communications expertise towards strategy and messaging on environmental, social, and governance (ESG)-based investing, which puts Left-wing political activism over fiduciary responsibility.

John Backiel, vice president of finance and accounting at Heritage welcomed Starbuck:

“Heritage is leaning into the coalition of organizations, businesses, and individuals who desire to put their capital to work as a force multiplier by investing in companies and organizations building a better American future. Through our corporate engagement we will help bring an end to corporate progressive indoctrination of the workforce and engage in constructive dialogue that rewards good businesses and products. Heritage and our allies won’t stop until we break the imminent tyranny of a technocratic modern state and its corporate satellites stripping ordinary people of their God-given individual sovereignty.”

With Starbuck’s leadership, Heritage’s capital markets initiative will focus on:

  • Amplifying Heritage’s involvement in encouraging companies to move away from divisive practices
  • Advancing the Heritage mission in the corporate arena
  • Encouraging other organizations to vote their shareholder proxies to reshape corporate America
  • Expanding Heritage’s focus on corporate and financial policy
  • Supporting values-aligned investing

Starbuck is a proud Tennessean who has led multiple conservative efforts in the state. Motivated by his family’s escape from communism in Cuba, Starbuck has valuable insight into how this ideology is infiltrating America and more specifically the Left’s agenda. Starbuck is a leader in the fight to protect children from pornography and sex changes in his home state of Tennessee and beyond. He directed The War on Children, a documentary exposing the dangers of the child sex change industry and was instrumental in the passage of Tennessee’s landmark bill to ban sex change surgeries and drugs for minors that set a national precedent.

Starbuck’s writing has been published by The Federalist and The New York Post, and he’s appeared on various television and steaming programs, including Fox News, OAN, CNBC, CNN, The Tucker Carlson Network, Bill O’Reilly, and The Hugh Hewitt Show.
