Abby Spencer Moffat serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation, which evolved from the Shelby Cullom Davis Foundation, established in 1962, and the Kathryn W. Davis Foundation, established in 2004.
She joined Heritage’s Board of Directors in 1992, later served as Vice Chair, and now charts Heritage’s course for the 21st century. In 2012, when the foundation transitioned to the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation, Moffat played a leading role in negotiating the divestiture of $4 billion in assets. Over the next four years, she scaled the organization into a globally recognized leader in the nonprofit community with a focus on national security, education, entrepreneurship, and public policy.
Moffat is a veteran leader on the boards of nonprofits, having also served in that role for the Media Research Center, One Generation Away, and the Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security, a graduate school serving the nation’s intelligence community. She is a graduate of George Washington University.
