Allison Weisenberger served as the Heritage Foundation’s chief point of contact for thousands of members in the western states. She spent most of her working hours keeping current and prospective members up to date on the organization’s ongoing and planned initiatives to fulfill its mission: “To formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values and a strong national defense.” Nicholas came to Heritage from St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, Calif. There she helped raise funds to support the charity care provided by the mission-based hospital.

Nicholas has also served a number of national, state and local political campaigns, where she specialized in membership development and community outreach. A native of Long Beach, Nicholas still resides in her hometown. She was recently named Long Beach’s “Unsung Hero of 2013” in recognition of her years of service as a volunteer fundraiser for several local charities. Nicholas graduated cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She also has completed additional coursework in political economy and British-American relations at the University of Oxford.
