WASHINGTON—This Thursday, August 13, Vice President Mike Pence will join The Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action for America for a town hall in Des Moines, Iowa, to launch Fight for America, a new grassroots campaign that will advocate for American values, support law enforcement, and go on offense against the extremism of the radical left.
“For months, the forces of Marxism, socialism, and anarchy have terrorized our streets and threatened the values that make America the greatest nation in the world,” said Heritage Foundation President Kay C. James. “Vice President Pence has been a tremendous leader in preserving our founding values, and I’m thrilled to have his support as we launch this campaign. The time has come for bold action and we will be fighting for America and against the poisonous ideology the radical left continues to champion.”
Fight for America is a multifaceted campaign organized by The Heritage Foundation and Heritage Action to energize citizens to advocate for American values and institutions in the face of radical extremism, bolster community support for law enforcement officers, call for accountability within our education system, and reinforce that the way to fight for America is to vote for America. The entire Heritage enterprise is working together in their respective areas to have a national impact engaging a network of over 1.5 million members and activists.
Thursday’s interactive town hall will host several members of local law enforcement and feature questions and testimony from Heritage Foundation members and Heritage Action Sentinels discussing the importance of fighting for American values and a path forward for an America that is safe and secure.
